This is so cool! I found this a few weeks ago and finally got around to posting. I’m glad that this is finally getting national recognition. It is such a fun thing to do with something you will never wear again. I know that there are mixed feelings about it with the older generations, but I don’t think they realize the cost of dry cleaning and preserving a wedding dress these days. It just isn’t worth preserving when you don’t know if you will ever have a daughter, let alone one small/large enough to fit in your dress. That is just part of the battle! Not many girls want to wear an outdated dress (they usually aren’t old enough to be “antique” which is considered unique).
How do you feel about trashing the dress? Do you think it is a tradition that will last or is it simply a fad that will look silly in 20 years?
